Went for a jog around the Tidal Basin in DC this AM
around sunrise. The cherry blossoms are coming in very nicely. What a beautiful morning today.

1. Nice to hear that.
I've been wondering what the trees would do out there this year, after the odd winter. I'd been meaning to ask my friend in Germantown what she's seeing so far this spring.

I'm always reminded of DC's cherry blossoms when the few dogwoods and crabapples start to flower here in my Denver neighborhood. They're a pale imitation of cherry blossoms, but they signal the same thing.

outdoors, sunrise, water, spring in bloom.

I'm jealous as hell.


(I'm actually hoping it stays clear here. I'd like to do an afternoon jog around the Charles.)
