In my last job, I was on the road a lot. I would take the hotel bible, write the date and location inside the front cover, and take it home. I have several hundred. Cheap souvenier!

In other words, live recordings from both the audience and soundboard, studio outtakes, radio broadcasts, rare video, what have you. However, the use of the term "bootleg" in discussing these items is frowned upon, as "bootleg" normally refers to illegal copies of officially available material, while these recordings are not available for purchase in any official form.

14. Postcards. One or two from every place I go to.

I've got postcards from multiple cities in all states and most Canadian provinces, plus about 400 different ones from other countries, all in photo albums. I didn't go to all the overseas places myself and have never been to certain states (eight of them), but I have done a large part of this myself. I just get a little help from friends, too :)

25. Commemorative plates, but I'm not "a collector," really.

I just like them and wound up with a lot of them. Most of them are only a dollar at thrift stores, so if I see a neat one I pick it up, or people get them for me if they see one while they're on vacation. I mostly have cities and states or exciting attractions like the Corn Palace in Iowa, but I do have a couple presidents too. The Nixon one is particularly disturbing. :D

Oh, and weird photos of other people's families. Just an FYI people, if you're cleaning out someone's house, perhaps your own even, don't donate your photos to thrift stores because I will buy them and maybe even laugh at them. I mean, I like that you do, but you probably don't want some stranger laughing at your grandma.

Books, antique or unique (had to be either 100+ yrs old or an autographed 1st ed.)
Japanese resin "garage kit" models
Lead and pewter D&D figures
Knives and swords
"All Access" passes
Misfits/Samhain/Danzig vinyl records
Etc...
etc...
etc...

Lost it all in a few bad moves and a divorce 10 yrs ago.

Now i just collect headaches.
