I discarded "Jack Keane" because pronounced quickly it sounds like "Jackene."

4. One rule of thumb is that names are more pleasing to the ear if |
|
they have differing amounts of syllables, so I went for Brendan.

6. That's a good rule of thumb. |

Just as Jane Banana is a better sounding combo than Anna Banana.
Ryan or Brendan sound better than Kyle or Jack and Brendan sounds better with that surname than Ryan to my ear.

It's IMHO the most melliflous.
The others sound a bit awkward when spoken aloud.

go to your back door, and yell the name loudly about a dozen times. If it still sounds good, its a keeper.

15. Jack is best. The soap opera or current names of the day |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-27-07 04:35 PM by Lex
I wouldn't choose. Go with classic, solid names.

17. Jack Keane is too hard to say with the double "K" sound there - |
|
don't begin a middle name with the same sound the first name ends with.
