Bail bondsman. They make bow-coo bucks for very little work.

And then I could become a character in an Elmore Leonard book.

3. To me, they rank right down there |

with loan sharks, extortionists, and bankers.
I don't know any of these types of people and I might not like 'em if I did. :(
Seems they all make their money by first getting a good grip on someone's balls.

4. are you referencing bail bondsmen or fugitive recovery agents? |
|
Bondsmen are usually scum, but fra's do a lot of dirtywork that the cops refuse to do.

I don't know much about fra's. The only impression I have of them is they're kind of like free agent cops with fewer restrictions, almost outside the law in a way. I don't really understand why the law hires subcontractors. Seems to me if they have a need for these guys they should just hire more cops, or call the FBI if they flee out of state.
But I'll admit that my opinion on this is not very informed.
