TV...best "final episode" of all time..."Six Feet Under"
Up until recently I always thought the brilliant ending to the Newhart show (his second), where it turned out his character in the first show had dreamt the whole thing was the best...but

I finally saw the final episode of "Six Feet Under" ...which was an absolute masterpiece...

One of those episodes that stays with you for days...

1. Wasn't it amazing?
It was so beautiful.

I miss that show. But it was the perfect way to end the show.

Now on the flip end, the end of "Queer As Folk" was shit.

5. I was so pissed by the QAF ending I almost wrote a letter
to the writers expressing disgust.
They destroyed the Brian Taylor character with that bullshit.

I think the ending was a complete cop out. The storyline was just plain stupid.

Pure brilliance. And it really does stick with you, which I think is what makes it so great.

8. I must have watched the last 10 minutes a hundred times
its just that good, especially if you know the characters.

Funny thing, when we knew it was the last season I told my wife "wouldnt it be cool if they did XXX in the final episode?" and they did!

9. at what point in the series are the repeats currently on Bravo? (spoiler)
i've been watching the Monday night Bravo repeats ... how far from the end of the series are they?

they killed off Nate last week, and Brenda had her baby, David is having major anxiety problems...

how far along are they towards the end of the series? I MUST KNOW! I don't want to miss the last episode(s)

10. If they're already to that point
where Nate is dead, then there are only a couple episodes left. He hangs around as a ghost for a while like his dad.

16. Well everyone makes their peace...(spoilers inside)
With Nate's death...

David decides not to sell the business, and he and Keith scrape up enough money to buy out Rico. David, Keith and kids move into the Fisher home and renovate it. Ruth moves in with her friend.

David finally exorcises the demons that were troubling him...

Claire nearly has a nervous breakdown, she drives out to Nates gravesite where she talks to him. She hears an animal growling and speeds away, crashing her hearse which she ends up selling.

Her and Ted split and get back together. She is offered a job in New York which she accepts. Ruth releases her trust fund. The job offer is rescinded but "Nate" convinces her to go anyway.

The last 10 minutes are the best part though...as Claire says goodbye and drives away there is a montage of their life until each dies. It shows what happens, how each dies and when it happens....

Claire is the last to pass away in 2085 at 102 years old...

If you want to see the last ten minutes it is up on YouTube...just search for Six Feet Under...

This description of course does not do it justice...
