3. Has the spring season

It's been going since....March 2nd? First big weekend was the 8th, 9th and 10th. Kids are on break right now...teams all over the place and no one calling to tell us what they're doing. I've tracked down contact numbers but if you had 15 boys between the ages of 16 and 18 in Vegas for a week, would you have the time to hang around and wait for me to call you for stats? Or would you be chasing said boys and trying to keep them out of trouble?

Monday and Tuesday schedules are PERFECT, though.

9. Our spring starts

next Wed. All my softball skeds are finished through the end of the year!

Working on my softball preview shit now (well tomm) I was off today.

Spring season is always the most hectic I think because the games are crammed into such a short time period. The season is like less than two months than playoffs.

14. Ours is longer, I think, because of all the weather stuff...

although it's still short. Playoffs are gonna start by the end of April, but the kids around here get out of school in May.

I think we're one of the only areas that I've heard of where the girls play softball in the fall.

Our reg season last all of April and May and then playoffs start in June....the season is over by the middle of June. School gets out around that time as well.

8. I was on dial up until...September? Maybe October.

Then switched to cable and that was just peachy -- until Comcast bought out the cable company.

So now it's DSL.

I gave up dial up in 2001, and never looked back. I had/have high speed internet; now there's ultra high and turbo. I guess I'm back at the low end of the spectrum again. :eyes:

23. A week after they took over,

we lost cable for five days. It went out on a Thursday, didn't come back until Monday morning. Then went back out again at noon the same day. Turns out, they only do repair work between 8-5, Monday - Friday, so if something happens or it isn't resolved within that time frame, you're SOL. Since then, we've had at least two other outages...from one to two days each. It's not like the little 15-minute outages that we used to get...these were monsters.

And they cut the channels and raised the rates.

In a nutshell, they're full of shit.

10. The cable was good...

it's just that Comcast wasn't. They took over about a month ago and I've had three outages since then. One of them lasted for five days.

They send a letter with passwords and authorization codes that you're gonna need to configure the modem and then...they don't send all of 'em.

Idiots.

Then tech support gives them to me...but they don't work. Finally, about 40 minutes in, she tells me "Oh, that's case-sensitive."

Moron.

But it's done. Finally.
