but my all time favorites generally remain the same, except with the ramones. They're always there, but different albums suit different moods. But I meant all-time favorites. Hopefully, like in my case, the artists were the correct choices.

24. For a long time, it was my favorite Tupelo record
Edited on Thu Mar-29-07 01:08 AM by enigmatic
The tension between Jay and Jeff was bleeding all over the redcord, and it brought out the best in both of them. "Anodyne" was the logical end to the band; you can't but help but not hear it in "High Water" and "No Sense In Lovin'" especially. That would be the record I'd buy to introduce anyone to the band, but any of the 4 will do.

You can't really go wrong w/ any of them, though "Still Feel Gone" is just a little bit better then the other 3 IMO..

46. Slint pretty much invented math rock
Spiderland is a influential classic, and like the The Velvet Underground and Nico LP, not many people heard it, but those who did all went out and started a band themselves.

Here's a few of live sets you can grab; "Washer" and "Good Morning Captain" are the standouts and 2 of the best songs written in the past 20 years:

http://goodmorningcaptain.com/

Highly recommended, bro; it takes a few listens to get into, but once it does it'll never leave your subconscious..

34. I can't name my top five, but I can name my #1 favorite.
It's the 1998 Vuelve CD by Ricky Martin.

It's all Spanish and is amazing. He won a Grammy for it in 1999. There have been times where that is the only thing I will play for weeks on end.

You can all start laughing now. But, unless you've heard his Spanish work, I wouldn't laugh too hard. Vuelve is brilliant.
