1. Yes they are.
One of the most disgusting things in life. Sleep is one of my life's passions.

3. Alarm clock sounds are horrid, yes.. but..
the alarm at my office makes my alarm clock sound like an elvish lullaby... I have no idea how it's made, but just hearing it for a second triggers primal stress reactions.. seriously.. accelerated heartbeat, sweat, "fight or flight" type stuff.. it's insane.

7. I once had the great misfortune of sitting right underneath one of the fire alarms at my job
and it seemed like, for a while there, they were always "testing" the damned things. To say it was startling when it went off is a serious understatement.

15. Join the club!
During a fire drill, my co-workers saw me jump straight up and haven't let me forget about it!

6. The worst is when
I wake up 2 hours before my alarm clock goes off, and am relieved that I have a long time before I have to wake up. The problem is once I close my eyes, my alarm clock goes off immediately and two hours disappeared in a second.

11. I'm the person they invented the snooze button for
I've never been a morning person. Hey wait a minute! Don't you live on the west coast? You get to wake up three hours later than we do here on the east coast so why you complaining? :P

13. I have mine set to the radio, cuz
that damn beep is scary and depressing...Though not as annoying as the f***ing phone ringing every 15sec!

Still...knowing the alarm will eventually go off...and fear it might not and I'll sleep in is enough to freak me out... *sigh*

14. My first alarm clock had that really annoying buzzer
Now I have a clock that plays "Tempus Fugit," and I still groan when it chimes, even though it's pretty.
