What's the most you've ever won at a casino?
Where was the casino and what time of day was it, weekend or weekday? I won over $250 on Tuesday at a slot by hitting the max bet button a few times.

1. Maybe 5 or 10 bucks
But I've only been to a casino a few times and that was just to take a look. I've never been fortunate at gambling.

3. $60
and then I quit and went home. I've only been to a casino a few times. I kind of like the sounds of the slot machines and all the lights but I don't really gamble.

5. $0, never been. My math skill dictates it. :)
And if some idiot wants to comment of my math skill, think very hard about your assumptions - not doing so will make you an asshole.

25. But you could win millions!
What kind of American, um Australian are you? Why do you hate the casino owners and all of the workers that they support through their kindness and generosity of spirit?

9. $800
It was a max bet on the "stampede" slot machine.Mohegan Sun, new year's eve,2002.I don't go as a rule,I can't afford to,but I used to have this friend and we'd go 2 or 3 times a year.Since she died, I only went once, and I was there to see the Dixie Chicks,so I thought I'd drop by the stampede machine. I lost $40 before I'd even smoked my cigarette!
I'll be going to foxwoods in June to see Lyle Lovett, probably drop another $40 in the stampede machine, just to see what happens.

22. Probably about $50 bucks....
But I can count on one hand the number of times I've been in a casino.

Mom, on the other hand, won $20,000 on a slot on New Year's Eve 2004.

24. About $400 in Vegas playing blackjack
The next day, I lost about $150 playing blackjack and then stopped - I had won enough money to have covered my round trip air ticket and figured that was good enough.

30. Can't remember. Something like $6000, I think,
built up through winning on poker machines (I like Deuces Wild the most, even though the payoffs are lower...I win more) then taking it to the blackjack table and then taking it to the three-card poker table. It wasn't my money -- my ex-sister-in-law used to ask me to accompany her on all-night stints at casinos and I was pretty much her 'minder'...she'd give me money to play with (not because I wanted to gamble but because she wanted me to gamble for her while she gambled, too, and I tended to be lucky). As with that $6000 night, I'd raise the money and she'd blow through it all very quickly, back then being one of those people who seem to think that the point of gambling is to win and then keep going 'til there's nothing left and you've taken the available limit out of your ATM access.

I don't really like gambling, and haven't played anything significant (and no table games) since she came to her senses a couple of years ago and began seriously getting into Texas Hold 'Em. I've gambled seven cents so far this year...a ticket that someone left at a machine that I just had to try my luck with. :D

I recently helped a young woman play a poker machine (we played for hours and she walked away exactly even, with her $20 original investment in her purse) and watched my work partner play, and that's about it. The first time I ever played blackjack, at a table (in 2004), I won $400 and kept somewhere over $300 of it. I even went to dealer's school, through the hotel where I worked, but stopped going after I learned how to deal blackjack and now I couldn't even tell you the ins and outs of that game (or of three-card poker, also a fairly simple game) because I have always had a problem remembering card games and they have very little attraction for me. Just as well, I guess, given where I live. The house will always win, in the long run...it's a statical certainty. If you win big, get the hell out of town.

33. I really don't gamble but I have a funny gambling story about my mother
No one in our family gambles; however, the last time my parents visited for some odd reason they wanted to see what Delaware Park looks like (It's a horsetrack with slots). I guess they had some neighbors who took regular daytrips to DE Park for an afternoon of the slots. I was kinda shocked but we were only 5 minutes away so I figured why not. They never saw the inside of a casino.

So we walked around and my step-father decided to try a few dollars in the slots and he pretty much kept breaking even. After 20 minutes my mother found a dollar in her purse and gave it a shot.

Third pull she got $50 from the slots. I hit the "Cash Out" button and told them it was time to walk away. Mom treated for lunch. So in a nutshell we made a net profit of about $40 from that trip. My parents found the casino entertaining but said they'd probably get bored after 30 minutes of doing the slots.
