Anyone here in charge of hiring at your business?

This is really starting to worry me. I was hired by Carnival Cruises to play Alto Sax this summer on one of your boats. However, before I'm technically hired and scheduled, I was told I'd have to fill out their whopping huge medical form. And that's where my troubles began..

It's been a nightmare, honest to god. Between several blood tests, an off-site drug test (that I had to pay for), and everything else, it's been more than 2 weeks since I received the forms. I've been to the doctor again and again for test results and other clarifications, and the drug place lost my paperwork for a finallyfull weekend, but I thought I was all done on Tuesday. Then yesterday morning, someone from Carnival wrote back saying they needed the actual paperwork from every test, not just my doctor's assurance of the results.

My question is: Is it possible that I've taken too long with this stuff, and they're about to give my job to someone else?
