I Just got back from the spca

I am doing a story on a little cat that was homeless for awhile. IT was pretty cold. The poor thing had her ear fall off, and her tail had to be amputated. So I am doing the story in hopes to find her a good home.

The other one that touched me was a story of an abused dog. She was so happy to see anyone. I pulled up and she was bouncin around waggin' her tail "Adopt me! adopt me!"...if only I was allowed pets. But I am so busy with work I wouldn't be able to see her and that's not fair.

No pics right now, the camera screwed me, tomorrow maybe.

That cat though, what atrooper.

4. Do your job right....

You will help find them a loving home. Abused animals in the news always have multiple offers of adoption. Maybe some people will adopt other animals at the "shelter" because of your story? Maybe you could push for an "adopt this pet" daily or weekly feature. You could save thousands of animals!

5. SPCA

I hope someone catches your article and adopts that little cat and the sweet dog. I would except that I already have three cats in a townhouse no less. And according to the strata rules, I'm only allowed one, but phooey on rules - they are made to be broken. Two of my cats were strays and I've had them now for over seven years; if had a house I'd have a whack of cats and dogs.

6. I met a cat at a country store once

When he walked into the room, I though he was a Scottish Fold, but the owner said no, his ears had been frozen. Most of his tail had been frozen, too, and it had to come off. This cat had been abandoned in a ditch on an extremely cold night, and it had been a fluke that they had found him. I don't know what sort of prick would leave a cat like that, he was absolutely the sweetest, friendliest kitty I've met. Oh, yeah, his name was Frosty.

7. Same Here

A neighbor abandon a cat a few years ago in sub zero-degree weather and I managed to feed her and sneak her into the house.

Little did I know she wasn't "just" a fat, hairy cat at the time but a shy, expectant Mother who needed a warm, quiet place to do her duty.

I managed to find homes for the kittens through a local vet and she was "fixed" shortly thereafter, but she's a Maine Coon and goes through kitty litter like Dimbo goes through the Treasury.

Durned cat insists on sleeping with me and is giving me hairballs.
