1. provide solutions

2. vertically integrate horizontal synergies

3. think outside the box

4. "make a home run" in a work setting not related to baseball

5. execute key strategies in concert with core principles

4. "thinking outside the box"
as a concept used in the corporate setting has very little to do with creativity.

it would be more accurately described as: "you may think, but do so in a manner consistent with established procedures and in such a way that you do not cast an unfavorable light upon your direct supervisor or the persons to whom he or she reports."

14. I'm in trouble too...
but I think it's because I used the box to mail rancid espresso beans to Seattle headquarters and told my boss at my review that I deserved a $40K raise because I am better at my job than her bosses' bosses' boss is at his and he got a $25K raise.

11. The "team".
Next time my evil supervisor mentions the word "team", I want to ask him if he means the Cubs or the White Sox.
