Multiple pet owners, how to control fur/dust? Help!

I have six dogs and two cats. They are in their "spring shedding mode" and boy the fur is flying around the house. Brushing them doesn't seem practical. Is there anything you do to cut down on the fur and dander in the house?
I have NO carpet in the house so there is nothing for the fur to cling to.

Ours works pretty well. Or, use a dust mop on the floor every day. (I know, what a pain.)

Maybe a good brushing for all -- outside -- once a week?

Do it to the cats too, because whatever hair comes off in the brushes won't get all over the house. It takes time so it's a pain but I do it to my furriest fat cat and he likes the attention and it cleans him up and saves me from having to clean up what's blowing around on the floor so much.

Sweep/vac often.

Consider a good HEPA air filter system if you have allergies, otherwise swap out your a/c furnace filters with a higher quality (even a wash and reuse) filter, and change more often.

love love love it. little robot wakes up at 8am every day and cleans all the dog hair and mud dogs track in. Does a better job than vacume.

periodically shake off outside. Strewing cheerios around helps them maintain interest and distracts them from eating bugs too.

But I feel your pain, Wcross. I have two very furry dogs, one that totally blows her coat twice a year and one that looks just like yours (below) & a senior main coon who is no longer into grooming and a cockatiel that loves to fling seeds. It's a constant battle. I don't even bother putting my vacuum away. When I try to brush them, they think I'm playing and start jumping on each other and I just give up. Think I'll try shaving the this one this year. Thanks for posting your picture...very cute!

It's so frustrating though. I wish I knew the answer cause it drives me nuts. I tolerate it cause I love them so much but it's embarrassing when I have visitors and they get up from the couch and look like a carpet. Let me know if you find a good solution!

23. Use a shedding blade on them often

and outside it possible (the birds love the fur for their nest). Vacuum lots. I also give mine linatone, it does help cut down on shedding except the spring blow out. I sit and pull all the loose fur off the ferrets when they blow out them vacuum it up. I also can vacuum some of cats and dogs. Trying to teach the others to let me vacuum them.
