I'm listening to 'My Chemical Romance' for the first time... I'm not impressed
They sound like typical 1990's 'Mallternative' crap - nothing new here.

But Oh! Don't they look cool???

4. Certainly nothing challenging, but...
for a tweenie alt-punk band, they've got good sensibilities. The video to "I'm Not Okay" was a classic, and a lot of their songs have hooks a mile long, which is definitely preferable to the hideous screamo that emo was devolving into before bands like My Chemical Romance came along.

They're better that MCR - as is 'The Bay City Rollers' and 'KC & The Sunshine Band'

9. OMG, I saw them in concert a few years ago
They were the opening act for Green Day...

They're even worse in person, if that's at all possible.

I love loud music as much as the next person, but I literally had to leave the arena. It was nothing but screeching guitar and shouting. Absolutely horrible.
