Need to draw a flyer. How?

What's a good quick and *easy* to learn program? I've used Paint before, but seems like last time I tried to draw up a flyer in Paint I ran into a lot of difficulty pretty quick. I'm new to this kind of thing.

2. Microsoft Publisher

You want a desktop publisher program. I use MP for TONS of things and it's very easy to use - has lots of templates for beginners. And a heckuva lot cheaper than Pagemaker or some of the others.

I'm pretty sure you can download a trial version.

MS Publisher is what I use but it would be rather pricy for an occasional flyer. Search "flyer" or "brochure" and there should be lots of freeware or trialware for you to look over.

5. My prefered program is powerpoint. It's a fairly simple program.

6. Going from "Paint" to "Draw" is a step.

OpenOffice's draw tool is pretty good if you are just looking at assembling text and pictures (that you have produced elsewhere). It is a little complicated and isn't the best tool for creating pictures.

But it is free and you can download it and check it out easily if you have broadband. At the very least it will give you some idea of what "draw" programs are like.

OpenOffice also has some other useful stuff.

Lots of different programs will let you do assembly of pictures and text, a draw tool can make positioning, resizing and moving pretty simple.
