2. no, I fill up when it gets to around 1/4 empty |
|
I can usually go a week or 2 between fill ups.
I had a co-worker burn up his fuel pump because he ran it on E all the time.

3. I've gotten good at timing the price increases |
|
Stations around here tend to increase the prices on Tuesdays or Thursdays. After that, the price creeps down a few cents a day until the next increase. So if you hear prices may be increasing, fill up on Monday or Wednesday afternoon.

I'll be stopping by the "cheap gas place" on the way home tonight, because I'm sure that by Friday (when I'll be on fumes) gas will be more expensive.

i really try and watch my driving habits as well, no hard stops, trying to get into the highest gear and stay there and really trying to drive the speed limit.
