22. Why not add FL-lots of Canadians there
In fact Florida has more French speakers(337,605 in 2000)than Ontario(326,030 in 2000)

That would keep Jeb from fixing the election again!

31. Because in my godly, ethical nature, I'd inflict Canada with MI
way, way, way before I'd inflict them with FL.

Florida - what a hellhole. Lots of good people there, so I hope the state can become less republican.

34. Nice thing about being a Wisconsinite is that, even if you are away,
Edited on Fri Jan-16-04 12:22 AM by Rabrrrrrr
you are always and will always be welcome home, and considered a Wisconsite.

I liken it to Hawaii in that regard - true loyalty to its own people, and its own people truly loyal to it.

Unlike those jackasses in Illinois who would sell their own grandmother if it meant they could shave another two minutes off their high-speed interstate dangerously stupid drive to the Dells for a weekend away from the hole they live in.

33. Yeah, thank God
I hate to say it, but the only place Ive ever lived that I truly hated and had no respect for was MI. Granted, I was in Flint, but still, the state was run horribly, the people were obnoxious, even outside Flint, and it is an ugly state (or was in the 80s).

Except the UP and north of Saginaw. Beautiful! And good people.

41. That's understandable, Rabrrrrrr -- everybody hates Flint
Actually, the beautiful part and the good people part both begin AT Saginaw. I should know -- I live here.
Now to the relevant part of the post -- if it wasn't for the goddamned Treaty of Paris in 1783, we Michiganians would be Canadians. But they had to draw the international border right through the middle of the Great Lakes (sans, of course, Lake Michigan).
John
And we DO have an Ontario Hockey League franchise and THREE Tim Horton's donut shops here. That has to count for something (and I voted "yes" in the poll, BTW).
