especially when the only other option was surrender. As with the Palestinians, there is a certain bleak logic to it. If the only option is suicide or surrender...

3. I think there's more to it than this

I tend to think that there is more of a sociological, rather than psychological reason for suicided bombing.

Just like some kids dream about becoming a professional <insert favorite sport>. SB's are idolized in their society.
