Tenía manos grandes, grandes y filosas. De un sólo zarpazo podría haber partido en dos a una persona. Pero su dieta era otra: dinosaurios de 30 metros de largo y 50 toneladas, a los que desgarraba y despedazaba con garras de 70 centímetros armadas, cada una de ellas, con tres temibles uñas en forma de cimitarra.

"Las garras eran su arma mortal", dijo a LA NACION Fernando Novas, el paleontólogo argentino que descubrió y puso nombre al Megaraptor namunhuiquii . Este dinosaurio que habitó hace 90 millones de años lo que hoy es la provincia de Neuquén, ostenta el privilegio de ser considerado el dinosaurio carnívoro de garras más grandes.

Pero si bien el primer ejemplar fósil fue descubierto en 1996 en la Sierra del Portezuelo, a 120 kilómetros al oeste de la ciudad de Neuquén, es el reciente hallazgo de los restos de otros tres ejemplares en la costa norte del lago Los Barreales (90 kilómetros al noroeste de esa ciudad) el que le confiere al megarraptor el mencionado título.

Unless you're refering to the lack of the killing claw in Deinonychosaurs....

In any case, T rex lived a-ok because all of its armiments were moved to its head :-)

and one of the popular questions about whether or not T. rex was a scavenger, an ambush hunter or a stalking hunter.

I have no doubt at all _that_ T. rex lived a-ok, just curious about _how_ T. rex lived so a-ok.
