I agree...we need to establish a base on the moon
At the rate that Bush's environmental policies are destroying this planet, we will need another place to put people in 15 years.

4. I thought about this, too.
About five years ago, when things were still looking good, it would have made more sense. But can you just imagine the plethora of accusations Clinton would have had to suffer, had he proposed something like this? Wagging the dog ... being childish ... I mean, seriously. They'd have crucified him for even suggesting something like this -- especially with as much money as it's going to take.

5. 30 years left ...
I think whenever this subject is brought up the response should be 30 years ... That is the projected stores of oil at CURRENT consumption levels. We have thirty years to move to alternative fuels or the car centered, air conditioned, and heated life-style we are all so used to will come to a sorry and abrupt end.
