My girlfriend of 14 years is leaving me |
|
Am I free?? Inasmuch as I will miss her, our relationship has soured over the past few years.. I'm 52 so I'm no spring chicken..
So should I:
1)take a trip. I have the means to go just about anywhere and I can take as much time off work as I desire..
2)Sell my home(its about 2200 sqft) take the equity and move a dreamie location?? Or just take the summer off and become a beach bum..
3)search the internet for another girlfriend(so far that's not looking promising although I just started looking)..
4)Relax and wait for her to come back to me(this has happened before and she always comes back and I let her)..
5)I open for suggestions..

1) Sure, why not?
2) Don't make any drastic moves while you're still hurting.
3) Ditto. Post-breakup is a dangerous time emotionally. It leads you into those "yikes, what was I thinking?" relationships.
4) Ask yourself why you put up with thsi.
5) Use this absence to think hard about what you really want.

is something I've been asking myself for the past 3 days.. This opportunity does lend itself to many possibilities.. I have just started to think of my future without her and wonder what "if".. Oh well thanks for the advise, I appreciate it all..

5. Ask yourself "If another woman came along that I loved and loved me, would I really care if the old |
|
girlfriend came back or not?" Answer this to yourself TRUTHFULLY and you will have the answer. The other questions will take care of themselves if your solve this one in your heart and mind.
Good luck and let us know how it is going.

If the two of you haven't gotten back together in a year, then start thinking about making a major change in your life, such as selling your house and/or moving to a better location. You should never just jump up and make a big change after a break up. You are emotionally healing and could make a mistake you would regret later. Take a year to heal and then decide.

10. Am I really broke up about this though |
|
As I looked upon her listless sleeping body last night I wondered just how much I am going to miss her.. 14 years is a long time of memories yet she has pushed me away over the years.. She suffers from an inherited disease that will take her life in less than 10 years.. SO I am torn between the two thoughts.. I'll miss her but its for the better., She want's to be happy and if I cannot provide that happiness then I cannot contest too much.. Will I be here the next time she wants to come back, I don't think so this time..
But I am taking a week off from work and doing a little traveling back to my roots in Dubuque Iowa.. Who know's what will happen there..
Everyone take care and thanks.. I love you all!!
