California DU'ers!!! Please help!

As most of you know, Michael and I are suckers for cats. There is a bill that is currently in the California Assembly that could help control the population of stray cats and dogs. Please take a minute and take a look at this and see if you might help get it passed.

It breaks my heart to see so many cats and dogs put down because they don't have home. While many good hearted people are trying to rescue them and get them homes, it just doesn't happen.

Give this a look and if you agree, please take the time to send an e-mail to your California Assembly-Critter and ask for their support.

Thanks

Ronny

3. Thanks sweetie!
I'm surprised to see in the California forum a post to oppose this. One the supporters to defeat this bill is George Runner a GOP assemblyman.

The lady that fostered our newest kitten got me turned on to this.

8. Done!
This is a really big deal -- the numbers of feral and unwanted domestic cats that end up sick and/or euthanized is just insane. Here is SF they have a very aggressive spay/nueter campaign for feral colonies, and every animal that is adopted out from animal countrol or the SPCA is fixed before they leave.

I have taken in three stray cat familes over the years, and each one of those guys got their clipping as soon as it was medically possible.

9. Thanks to everyone!
And thank you for taking in the strays. Some people are saying this bill is unfair to responsible pet owners. :wtf: Responsible owners get their pets fixed. This bill IMO is a good start to help control to population of strays.

We MIGHT get two more this weekend.

We say two (male and female) on the internets. But Tux cats. If we get them, I want to name them Che and Charo.
