3. Has a sweet lemony citrus undertone
to it. Or they smell that way to me anyway.

Magnolias and gardenias are so fragrant.

6. Yep, me too! Reminds me of being a kid.
My mother liked to clip a few off her tree and bring them inside and put them in a shallow bowl this time of year to make the whole house fragrant.

8. I remember my grandparents had a big tree in their front yard
and the flowers that bloomed when we'd visit often were blooming.

Of course there are lots of Magnolia trees around where I live now.

and they remind me of that more than anything else

9. I think I read somewhere that smells
are our most powerful memory trigger. Certainly it is that way for me too.
