Man - what a mixed-up crazy dream last night.....
Parts of it involved the last crazy Doc I worked for, a Japanese young man as a paramour, a Hispanic girl traveling with me and her obsessive, controlling mother forcing her into a Catholic church for some sort of ritual. Then it morphed at some point into the middle of a football game where I was somehow in a helicopter hovering over the game for some official reason - the two teams were college - one of them was Virginia Tech which was being beaten to a pulp by another team who were much larger and stronger. I remember telling the 'Techies' that they needed a good quarterback with a strong arm (like Joe Montana) and a great receiver in order to win. They couldn't stop the other team from making touchdowns - there was no 'air' game at all by either side. Plus, I was dressed up as the team mascot for Virginia Tech and I don't even know what their mascot is......aaarrghhhhh.

WTF?????

1. I can beat that! Fell asleep listening to BookTV and my dream
involved traveling with CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS whom I loathe and my self unpacking luggage. No matter how hard I tried, it kept unpacking itself. I couldn't remember the name of the guy I flew in with and couldn't get to my room or my flight out. Couldn't get the hotel staff to look for my reservation. I was stuck and didn't even know the name of the town. Ack. At least I wasn't naked. :scared:

3. Good Grief.
Can you imagine if the technology ever comes into existance to be able to catch dreams and replay them on tv?
If we sequence a lot of dreams together, that would be one psychedelic trip in itself.

Having said that - I am intrigued by his latest book, darn it!! Won't buy it - perhaps some day get it from the library.

7. I'm not sure I'd want to replay all my dreams
Psychedelic trip would be an understatement. My last really weird one I remember (I often remember them the first minute or two I wake up and then forget soon after) was when I was having plumbing work done on my house. My dream involved some kind of chowder covering my bathroom floor and when I flushed the toilet it all was sucked into a hole in the wall. Squeaky clean floor too, like an invisible squeegee mopped everything up. Link that to the one where the whole earth exploded and instead of dying I was floating through space on a square of plywood watching the flames. Strangely I wasn't cold and didn't have trouble breathing.

8. Doug used to have a dream we called "the running dream".
He always had lost his pants, wallet, way on the way to a gig and was terrified of missing his cue. It was a recurring dream and he always ended up needing to borrow $20 and a pair of pants from famous people who humiliatingly showed up.

He had it so many times and told it to me so many times, I eventually started drawing and painting it!

Or maybe you were remembering last season's bowl game. :( The Hokie bird is the mascot.

Edit- here's the actual costume, beating up that loser UVA mascot. :P (Just kidding Cavs, my sister went to UVA and I went to VT so we have fun making disparaging remarks about the other shcool/mascot.)
