2. Cars are, by their nature, inefficient...
In fact, they are probably the second most inefficient form of transportation known to mankind, the first being Jet planes. Think about it, you require somewhere around 2000+lbs of steel to lug around with you just to get to work and back, that's not efficient.

3. That's why mine stays parked almost all the time
If there's a major storm I'll take it to keep my dry. Otherwise my bicycle is fine, unless I'm going somewhere far away that isn't served by other transportation options.
