I was wrong. I don't have the flu. I HAD the flu. Now I HAVE pneumonia
and a small doctor bill, but paid the pharmacy the $80 my insurance doesn't cover for antibiotics, expectorant, cough drops. I am glad I have insurance but $60 for antibiotics?!?!?! I could've gotten cheaper by ordering online or by driving an hour to Costco, but, what do you do when you are sick and need them now?

Maybe I'll get back to work in a couple days. My fuzzy beasts are happy to have me around though.

2. Thank you. Now to get past the new-monia
at least I don't ache anymore. Except my chest from coughing. And only if I laugh. So don't say anything funny.

4. Wow- expensive antibiotics...
I have been ill for awhile with something no one can figure out. I have had many expensive tests (CT twice, colonoscopy) and in a shot in the dark one of my doctors put me on some strong antibiotics--which seem to be working a little. But they were only $3.00 for me....
I hope you get well soon, if you don't your fuzzy beasts are going to get awfully spoiled as mine have!

6. I hope you recover quickly
and easily. Pneumonia can be a very long hassle to deal with.

And then I hope you get better insurance.

9. You get better too. And regarding insurance, ha.
I'm glad I have what I have, am self employed so cannot afford another one. WA has subsidized insurance for lowish income people, dependent on income and family size. When jr is no longer full time student, our rates will rise to not sure if we can afford them. I'm starting looking around, sometimes it is a pain being self employed. My boss is uppity.

I hope you are feeling better, hang in there. Mine is temporary, just a whine or 2. You take care of yourself.

7. I got pneumonia
every spring for six years. It was always a secondary infection from the flu. Then one year my doctor suggested that, since I always got pneumonia after getting the flu, I should get a flu shot every year. I've gotten a flu shot every year for ten years and no pneumonia. Give it a try.

8. I got a pneumonia shot 15 yrs ago, get annual flu shots too.
First yr I've gotten it, this bad, since getting them. Usually I get sick for a couple days, this yr it got me. My thyroid medicine has been too low recently, leaving me a bit cold and slower than I should be, was mulling over if this might have contributed to letting whatever got me get me as it did.

Try not to force yourself to go to work too quickly. You need the rest.
