They are becoming experts in navigating the Internet and posting on message boards, all while raising their families. They are traveling hundreds of miles just to hear him in person.
They are Clay-Moms, and there are many right in our own back yard: women of all ages enamored with singer Clay Aiken.

There's no doubt about it, he has a huge fan base. But why is he attracting stay-at-home moms, professional women, grandmothers and teens?
The answer may lie deep within a mother's heart. He comes across as the ideal son: clean-cut, confident, intelligent, caring and talented. He also reminds her of her youth, when she heard that love song on the radio while snuggled up to her honey. He reminds her of those days of going to concerts, buying the latest Beatles album and playing it over and over until it wore out.
