Ghosts in Philly. Don't say I didn't tell you
Ah, another year down the drain for the Eagles. First franchise to lose back to back home conference championship games. As I have been saying to Philly "fans" on this board - YOUR TEAM WILL NEVER, EVER WIN THE BIG ONE! Unless of course, you continue to think of Dallas week as the big one. You may win a few of those.

In my 42 years, I have seen 8 Dallas Superbowls with 5 victories. I have watched countless playoff games by my team - both good and bad. But I have experienced the thrill of the big wins.

Philly fans, it will never happen to you. Maybe it's karma, who knows, but the actions of Philly fans at Eagle games have been disgusting. Maybe that's why your boys can't win the big one.

So, now this losing thing is in the heads of both Philly players and in the minds of their faithful, battery throwing, snowball tossing, cheering an opposing team's player's injury, "fans." This team is the same type of team as the late 80's, early 90's Eagles. And you know who came along to knock them off and win three out of four Superbowls in the 90's. That's right.

Rejoice, Philly. Burn a few cars. Get thrown in the drunk tank. Beat up a kid at school who wears a Panther or Cowboy jersey to school. All you know is the bitterness of defeat.

Meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy looking at the 5 Superbowl trophies on my screen saver. I will cherish all of the wonderful moments the Cowboys have given me. I will appreciate the rise out of the ashes of this year's Cowboy's team and look forward to a wonderful future with an excellent coach. Let that knaw at ya - all of you deserve it!

Next year's champions! That's what your team's title is now. There are three teams in the east who are ready to turn the corner. All the Eagles can do now is look back. But hey, Andy Reid does get a third straight free trip to Hawaii for goodness sakes. He may make the Hall for most Pro Bowl appearances as a coach.

So this "Bushevik" is signing off. Thank God I'm a Dallas Cowboy fan. Oh, and congrats citizens of Houston. You didn't need Philly fans in your city.

2. Just like the Cowboys and their fans have been stereotyped on this board
There are several Eagle fans here who truly deserve this. And class - I've learned that from the mighty Eagle faithful.

3. Don't lump us all with them
I haven't done any of that. I didn't cheer when Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field for 5 minutes. I pulled for Emmitt when he broke the rushing record.

4. Thank you for that
and sorry if I offended. There are two people on this board who have sunk very low on this - one who rejoiced at Irvin's career ending at the Vet, and another calling me a "Bushevik" because I'm from Dallas and a Cowboy's fan. Plus those who have even said Jerry Jones had a connection in the Kennedy assassination! It's almost laughable, but their hatred and calling the Cowboys the "evil franchise" was real and all I could bear. Again, I apologize to you for the rant, but I had to get it out there.

Well, I am 20 years old so maybe the older fans are the ones with a problem with Dallas.

I wish we had an owner like Jerry Jones in Philadelphia!

9. I shouldn't have said Jones involved in Kennedy assassination
The person who posted it said one time owner Clint Murchison was involved in the assassination. Jones was still in college at the time. When I read that post concerning Dallas being the "evil franchise" my jaw dropped.

6. Eagles
Eagles need to get rid of Donovan McNabb. He is not championship material. He's very athletically gifted, but he can't think on his feet. You've got to have a QB who can remain mentally in the game when you get to this level of the playoffs, and he's demonstrated for three years now that he loses focus. He's done the same thing during regular season games since he's been in the league, just completely mentally blank out.

It is rumored that the Bucs are not going to pick up Warren Sapp's contract and that Philadelphia is going to pick him up. Will that help the defense? Sure. Put until the Eagles get a QB that's a leader, they're dead in the water.

The problem is the receiving corps.

11. Maybe someday I, like you, can loose the bitterness!
Dang, did an Eagles fan steal your wife or something?

12. You know what has happened over the years
and you may not have seen or read some of the comments from some Eagle faithful on this board. This was long overdo, and there are a few on this board who need to see this.

And in terms of bitterness, I have never met more bitter, jealous, spiteful people than Eagle fans. The only way to take them on is to fight fire with fire.

If you are offended, I apologize. But the names I (and other Dallasites and Cowboy fans) have been called on this board needs to be addressed. Including the one who called me essentially a Bush supporter because I'm a Cowboy fan and from Dallas. Or the other Eagle fan who took great delight in seeing Irvin's career end in Philly while laying paralyzed on the field for some 5 minutes.

13. Well, so much for sportsmanship.
I guess there are a few ugly Vikings fans who feel the need to come out of the woodwork when the Packers lose, and the same goes for a few Cowboys fans when the Eagles lose. And I don't want to hear the excuse that some Eagles fans do the same thing. "He or she does it, too," is not a worthy excuse.

14. You obviously haven't been paying attention

to the behavior of the Cowboy haters on this board. They have often allowed their hatred of the Cowboys to spill over into hating everyone from Dallas. People from Dallas and Cowboy fans have more than once been referred to in blanket terms as a bunch of Freepers despite the fact that many very liberal people on this board are from Dallas and one of the DU Admins is a Cowboy fan. It's ridiculous.

And the fact is that the Philly fans are some of the worst about this. One of the biggest Philly fans on this board has REPEATEDLY expressed glee over the unjury that ended Michael Irvin's career - referring to him laying on the turf paralyzed for 5 minutes as one of the great moments in Eagles' history.

So don't wag your finger at us.

15. Again, "He or she does it, too," is not an excuse.

It doesn't work for children, and it doesn't work for adults.
