Who has made the funniest movies?
Mel Brooks or the Zucker Brothers? I vote for the brothers, even though I love Mel Brooks.

1. All of you are just MEAN!
I'm insecure, and there are lots of other threads every bit as boring as this one. If you were nice, you would post a reply!

2. Mel Brooks ...

Zucker brothers are close, but Brooks' humor (in most of his movies) is more nuanced and "edgy," in the context of the time he made his movies anyway, imo.

7. Mel Brooks.
I find all his movies hysterically funny. Full of puns and double entendres.

8. #1. Zucker Brothers. #2. Monty Python. #3. Marx Brothers. #4. Mel Brooks. #5. Woody Allen.
and I know I'll get crucified here for this, but I would put the Coen brothers down around #357. Just plain unfunny. They only good film they have ever done was "The Man Who Wasn't There."

9. Intentionally?

If you're talking works intended to be comedies, I never get tired of watching Mel Brooks or Monty Python movies.

I also love the unintentionally funny bits. Like "Mommy Dearest" or some of the 50/60's fear-proganda films.

10. Zucker Brothers, no doubt.
Airplane!, The Kentucky Fried Movie and the Naked Gun series are some of the best comedies ever made.

11. Well, since I'm feeling like a 2000 year old man these days....

I must go with Mel Brooks. His body of work is a testament to comic genius. And, I realize it is partly a generational thing. I'm not that familiar with the Zucker brothers.
