I killed a spider tonight...
It was a jumper, and he was hopping around on stage between the podium and the first stands of strings, during rehearsal. There he was, enjoying our music; and all I could think about was keeping him off my bare tootsies while I was playing. So I stood up and squashed him.

If I'd seen him here, I would have said, "Oh cool!" and caught him in a bug box to examine him closely before releasing him in the rose bed.

I feel like a murderer. :-(

4. I know how you feel
I don't care for them jumping spiders much, having been bitten by them, but I don't try to kill them.

But when I happen to uncover a Black Widow on our place that spider gets sent to another dimension. I hate to do it but I've seen the damage that they can do to someone.

9. They're bad news...
This wasn't a black widow. It may have been harmless; but I didn't want to take chances...

5. Bad, bad, bad.....dangerously bad.
If someone put a gun to my head and made me CHOOSE
an ancient greek "Anthropomorphic personification"
to piss off, ARACHNE would certainly not be my first choice.

I hope you'll understand if I pretend I don't know you
for awhile.

Good luck with everything, random stranger whom I've never met before! :hide:

8. I killed 1 today too. It spun down out of my hair over my shoulder when doing dishes.
I didn't even have time to think. It was a round bodied one, probably a garden spider I'd picked up earlier while out weeding. I didn't have time to thing, just go "oh crap" while I jumped and squished it. I felt bad too. I hate it when that happens.

12. I Never Kill Spiders
I leave them alone because they prey on all the other insects in my house. Spiders are good. Ladybugs are good too because they eat the aphids that infest my house plants. I have learned to live with certain bugs because they help me out.

I saved a young box turtle from certain death this morning, by getting him out of the street, and into the garden where he was headed.
