is there anyway to use CDROM drives in windows 98 safe mode?

2. reinstall the whole thingy

some have safe cd's that reinstalls and fixes your computer

6. Boot from the Win98SE CD if you want to reinstall....

or boot off a floppy and then copy over the cab files. This is
why you want to have at least 2 partitions on the HD.

3. it has been a while

but I think in the boot process of safe mode you can choose to selectively allow certain devices to load...I think you hit F8 during the boot, but like I said, it HAS been a while.

I had to do same a few months ago. Fiddle with the F8 during start up then change boot order. good luck.
