I had my first post on a DU thread deleted
On a BBV thread. I guess some people not only want to tell us HOW to think, they want to stop us from POSTING our thoughts as well.

I don't care how many shills Diebold musters up to belittle people who expect scrupulously honest elections to be the norm. If they spout off to me, I will return in kind.

I have never complained about any other DUer's posts and I am thoroughly disgusted to find one of mine deleted just because I was not polite enough on an already rankerous thread.

I am sick of reading constant attacks on other DUers and their work coming from people who have contributed nothing. I have been reading BBV posts for months. Last night was the first time I entered the conversation in any significant way.

Apparently, some DUers are threatened by others expressing their honest opinion, so they alert mods like grade school tattle tales. Censorship is a marvelous tool for winning heated arguments. DUers with thin skin use this method quite frequently.

Of course, I realize the rules of DU say that we all have the right to be informants--snitching on anyone whose point of view irritates us and crosses some nebulous line. Impressive behavior when it happens.

I have never alerted mods on anyone and never would because having other DUers' posts deleted would make me feel like a Florida election's supervisor deleting votes for Gore. If a person can't speak his or her mind freely around me, that's my fault, not theirs.

I will not respect anyone who uses this method to silence others.

This is not meant to be a criticism of mods. It is a criticism of DUers, often relative newcomers, whose only desire is to disrupt and bait.

Delete my posts and it's the same as if I had never been here.

2. Wait until the threat comes down
to put you on "ignore".

OOOh. Painful. And then they feel they must tell you about it first.
