Here's the last pic of one of the Gulf Islands which is a haven for US draft dodgers. Beautiful place, full of red arbutus trees. I wish I could show more pics there is so much more like the kootneys, and the dessert in the okanagan. But I bet I've already pissed off DU enough with this big post. 3. the empress hotel - the best afternoon teas outside of GB

Someday I will dare to ask what is clotted cream.

5. That's a Buchard Gardens price - I think it is $25 at the Empress.

But still a great place to spend a few weeks.

On Arbutus Street. That is the BEST High Tea outside England. And it's nothing close to $27 :hi: .

No foolin', that's what it's called. Nice B&B on Vancouver Island, half way between Victoria and Nanaimo. Gorgeous view of the smaller islands... Sorry, don't have the contact info, but I'll look...

Well, I've taken vacations in the vicinity, but never on the islands. Just somewhere to enjoy nature -- easy hikes, birdwatching, bicycling. Ideal place would have access to a phone line, be relatively quiet, and possibly allow a pet (I know, that part can be a deal-breaker).

What's the best way to find places there, HEyHEY?
