My first haircut

I'm 47 and no longer have the locks of my youth (think Barry Gibb).

After all those years of going to salons, I finally decided to patronize my local barber.

I walk in and there's a sixty-something dude sitting in the barber chair reading the paper and watching the tv. He springs to life and we trade some stories and...

Fifteen minutes later we're done including the neck shave for half the price and half the time time I'd been spending at salons.

1. I love going to the barber!

As the pagerlocks got thinner and thinner, I started keeping them shorter and shorter, and salons just seemed silly. I've been doing the barber thing for years now. Can't remember the last time I didn't use a barber.

2. My dad likes his barber so much that he drives an hour to get there.

(He moved out of the area five years ago, but still goes back for a haircut!)
