Are Cats Pawed the Way Humans are Handed?

I don't know whether Otis is right-pawed or left-pawed. He seems to favor his right paw, but he's pretty adept with his left paw. He doesn't run around his backpaw. If it's on his left side, he reaches with the left.

Does science have the answer? Or has a generation of left-pawed kittens been damaged by being taught to favor their right paw?

...played soccer ball with either paw and was damn good at it. He would chase the ball across the floor hitting it with one or then the other paw as he ran. My current orange tabby and I play a game I call "batter up" -- he sits on a stool and I swing this feather ball toy at him. He is able to hit it with either paw, with no seeming difference in "handedness."
