This is the first "Nigerian Scam" emails that I recall ever having received myself. So I'm reading it because I'm expecting to at least be entertained by the whole thing. But NO! He doesn't build up the story or say that I'm a long lost relative, he just says "Yeah they got killed and left a lot of money". C'mon, don't these guys at least want to try to draw me in, get me interested, something?? The victims are Canadian, so why would I be picked to transfer their money? They died 7 years ago, so tell me about the long arduous search for me. Why me? I demand a good story dammit!

1. I still can't believe I actually know someone who fell for this

My husband's aunt in Germany lost her life savings to one of these scams. The con artist befriended his Aunt in church, and knew her a couple of years, before trying the "it requires special ink...dying of cancer...send money to my attorney" scam. How can people live under a rock? I guess this is a good example of why it's important to stay informed, watch and read the news, and have a little common sense.
