Why can't my hubby spit responsibly?
I love my hubby dearly but he has this nasty chewing(tobacco) problem where he leaves his spit cups laying around. Wouldn't be a problem if we didn't have small children who thought it was juice or water in the cup. Yes he makes a good point(his only argument) about how they shouldn't just pick up cups and drink from it, but it doesn't negate the fact that they are CHILDREN and will occasionally forget stuff like that. My daughter just downed(accidentally) his old spit juice from last night. Sorry had to vent b/c I'm pissed off!

1. You're both clouding the issue.
The real issue is he is leaving his detritus all over the house. It would be the same if it were dirty dishes or used coffee cups. Either it is his responsibility to clean them up or it isn't.

2. Gross!!!
That's disgusting, unsanitary and a health risk. And no, that's not a good point at all - it just puts his irresponsibility on his kids. Nice.

Sorry, militaryspouse, but I could not even look at someone with such a gross habit, let alone lock lips with them. :scared:

4. ..
It's a nasty habit he picked up 2yrs ago. He's quit only to go back to it. I don't nag him anymore about it not being healthy but now he's putting our kids health at risk, and just blowing it off with..'well they should learn not to drink from cups laying around' is dodging his resposibility!

3. That's just disgusting. Isn't nicotine poisonous?
Ask him if he'd prefer poisoning his kids.
