1. ooooooooo
if they follow the book, they're going to need about a million gallons of stage blood.

3. The book is brilliant (and brutal), and early reviews of the film have all raved.

And if anybody was ever born to play a Cormac McCarthy character, it's Tommy Lee Jones. I can't wait to see this.

5. Ugh. I thought it was one of his weakest efforts.
My thought upon reading it was McCarthy's hoping this gets made into a movie, and lo and behold it was.

That being said, I'll go see the movie. Hell, it can't be any worse than what they did to All the Pretty Horses.

6. Agree. ATPH -- absolutely superb book -- appallingly awful movie.....
Matt Damon, I think it was, at nearly age 30, playing a character who was 16 in the book. I wonder what genius thought that was a good idea!

7. I can hardly wait
That just sounded like a perfect project for them when I first heard about it, and the trailer and reviews are looking good.

8. Blood Meridian was the most VIOLENT book I have ever read

9. In contrast to the beauty of the language...
yes, it's quite jolting.

Stunning book.
