Favorite Bath and Body works scent/product.
Okay, I admit, I am addicted to nice smelling stuff. Not stuff so sweet you feel sick, or so flowery you sneeze, but really nice smelling stuff. Like, candles, lotions, incense, potpourri.

Bath and Body works had a sale last week, which is about the only time I can afford their stuff.

The Kitchen Spice wallflowers smell so good it makes me wanna eat them, but they probably wouldn't taste good. And the Peony lotion is a light scent, but it smells so purddy. Eucalyptus wallflowers are nifty, too.

Any other Bath and Body work addicts?

5. Why do they have to do that?
I suppose they have so many scents, they have to go with the ones that sell the most.

They really have so many to choose from.

I got a Fresh Linen wallflower for the bathroom, but that one you can barely smell.

It has this amazing musky lavender scent that becomes a thousand times more delicious when it's worked into your skin.

Before this, my favorite was always Plumeria :hi:

17. God, how can you stand their products?
They're pushing the most over-scented stuff on the market. And most of it contains some really nasty additives--crap you really DON'T want to get absorbed by your skin.

26. Do you happen to have any linkage handy regarding potentially
hazardous chemicals, and/or controversy surrounding B&BW? The Wikipedia article on B&BW reads almost like a press release from the company, and could really use some balance. I already did some editing--there were places where the Wiki article had called them "The ultimate personal care destination", etc. Not the least bit neutral.

Thanks in advance!

39. They show far less ingredients than other products I have used
And with far less chemicals, and many more natural ingredients. I haven't used their 100% pure line, though. Can you tell me what those additives are?

I googled Bath and Body works and harmful additives, and this article came up that Bath and Body works is a company that is not using PVC, a harmful plastic, in their products.

http://www.besafenet.com/pvc/about.htm

As for the scents, in the lotions, I tend to go for their more subtle fragrances, and the wallflowers don't give me a headache or smell too flowery as do many of the Glade plug ins.

36. You should e mail them or call customer service.
I would imagine they would take care of it. Unless the person who gave it as a gift liked it so much, they used it themselves.

42. Ditto
I rarely go in there because it's a migraine waiting to happen, but I love Warm Vanilla Sugar. It's the opposite of what I usually am drawn to, which is light, citrusy scents. But it just works with my body chemistry. I wear it all fall and winter long.

25. I'm not fond of Bath & Body Works.
For some reason, everything they sell has a weird underlying scent. No matter what the scent is supposed to be, that underlying scent is there. :( It gives me a headache, so I have to avoid it.

Many of my friends love that store, and they can't understand why I don't.

34. It's that odd

...it's one of the only scents I can tolerate. Most perfumes give me a bad headache and stuff-up my nose, so for me this is it or it's 4711.

So yes, I do understand why you can't tolerate it....there's just something that doesn't agree with your system.

Cheers :toast:

30. White Tea & Ginger
I live in Columbus, OH, home to B&BW, so I have to admit to being addicted to the products. There is also an outlet mall with a B&BW store that I try to hit a couple times a year. It is far cheaper than the regular store in the mall.

Currently, my everyday favorite is White Tea & Ginger. It's lighter than most of their scents, but it has a nice clean, slightly spicy smell.

For really dry skin, I love, love, love their C.O. Bigelow brand of Lemon Body Lotion. It helps my dry hands tremendously, but I cautiously dole it out because it is expensive!

31. Aromatherapy only
My general favorite was the cool citrus basil but that is discontinued, though Bath and Body Works does bring it back periodically...and I increase my stash accordingly.

The other products I get a headache from...except the Bigelow products.

I've found my niche with the Aromatherapy, my faves are the lavender, orange ginger, eucalyptus spearmint, and grapefruit peppermint -- and I have since learned to make my own from essential oils.

Now I have some Sandalwood Rose products that give an awful headache...anyone got ideas what I can do with them>??

40. Glade plug ins gave me a headache.
Edited on Sun Jun-17-07 01:37 PM by nytemare
Is the scent overbearing, or too flowery? I have used incense oil to refresh potpourri, but if we are talking about a scent that gives you a headache, that may not be a good idea.

And, I just love eucalyptus. It is like a cool autumn night. Crisp and clean.
