Note it's made by some cute Generation X'ers. The Gen X connotation implies sarcasm within the lyrics.

On the other hand, we ARE told to live for today.

And, right now, can you tell me we are not living on borrowed time?

In 1994, I didn't care. (Actually I did. That's why I'm still disease free... and single... today. But that's another story... and I digressed, I didn't care - that's partly how I got into massive, barely controlled debt. I learned over the years I was in debt...)

In 2007, why am I caring? The boomers are frittering the future away so why should I give a fuck? And that is NOT sarcastic, I regret to say. (I've never been a normal X'er...)

Aliens planning to destroy Earth just so they can use the energy created by the explosion to transport home; claiming the power plant to be built will create numerous jobs and spur Wales' economy.

The story is written and produced for mundane 8 year olds (go figure), but the core topic is surprisingly powerful.

4. it IS hard to care ---

at heart i am a survivor and i refuse to let this crap beat me. i will die TRYING to be the best human being i can learn how to be. does this make sense? it is hard for me to out in words my personal philosophy. it evolves as i learn and grow.

We also forget about the ambient environment. Take away the ability to live and what remains?

Again, I don't see imminent demise, but within a few years big change will be inevitable.

Of course, if the world economy collapses, the rich who are moving their wealth from the dollar to the Euro (or other developed nation's currency) will still lose it all, or at least be little better off than the rest of us.)

The only way to know is to try; but with my eyes, 1366:768 resolution displaced over 32" is gonna be nice.
