So what are everyone's plans for Father's Day?

We're having a cook out with some friends. Planning on grilling up some salmon, rib eyes and black and bleu burgers.

I made a macaroni salad and we're having green salad with Maggiano's House Dressing. Grilled zucchini and cake for BabyMidlo's birthday tomorrow.

What are you guys doing? Anything fun?

2. We just got back from Sniffa's sister's house!

Father's Day and a niece's birthday. Good food, lots and lots of wedding talk, good times :)

And, we scored his sister's complete Pfaltzgraff set that she just replaced with a new one...In perfect condition. :woohoo:

Combined with the new microwave and toaster oven we got from my parents yesterday, I'll spending my day tomorrow reorganizing the kitchen! :woohoo:

3. I am going to call my dad in a few -

I at least always manage to do THAT, as I suck at the card/gift thing ... AND wait to hear from GOPisEvil after he leaves his parent's house. They just met me last Sunday, so I'm sure they'll have *something* to say about it. :scared:

9. Well, the first thing I said to Dave when we got in the car to leave was...

..."I thought you said your mom doesn't talk much?" The woman chatted me up like crazy! I figure that's a pretty good sign. :shrug: I actually loved them both - they are sooooooooooo cute! :D And I felt totally at ease the entire time. No weird vibes at all ... but his visit with them today will be the true telling of how it all went. ;)

7. Once my Dad leaves my sister and I are doing some surprise upgrades to his room

10. Calling my dad, of course. Then going to the ball game with sweetie's father.

11. As game!

#2 son is taking Mr Pip and me to an As game. Should be fun. It's a perfect day for a baseball game and we haven't been in years.

12. We just finished our celebration and DH and I are whipped!

He's napping while I'm checking out DU. We had our son and dil, our daughter and her daughter and our other granddaughter whose dad(our son) is fishing right now.

My daughter made deep fried beer battered chicken tenders and onion rings and I made baked potato salad. My son and Dil made a chocolate/peanut butter cream pie.

The kids swam while the "adults" were shooting each other with water pistols. Yeah..we're all kids at heart.

Oh..and DH received a metal detector from the kids.

My father is passed away. On second thought,
I may go bring some flowers to his grave.
