Sopranos theorists: the Bob Harris take

I didn't see the final episode, but found this a diverting read nevertheless.

1. That's pretty interesting. I've never watched The Sopranos before...
But I feel compelled to download this episode to see what it's all about, haha.

3. I see two major flaws in his analysis
1. Chase has done everything to make his show NOT like the Godfather. The bit with the orange sounds much more like Chase's sense of humor than the sort of obvious foreshadowing Harris believes it is. The series has constantly led one direction and switched at the last second(the most obvious example being Tony going to Johhny Sack's home to offer concessions to make peace and just as Tony arrives, Johnny gets arrested.) All of the intentional shots of the members only guy play right in to that theme.

If the final episode had an ending that led from all those obvious clues, it would be the first time in the series.

2. No hit man goes in and hangs around. They walk in, find the target, shoot, and leave.
