Have you ever been mistaken for somebody else?
It happens to me with some regularity, mainly because I evidently have a body-double who lives in the same small town, although I've never met him.

But people approach me all the time and start conversations as if I'm this other person. It cracks me up, but I try to be polite.

1. Not an individual, but I've been mistaken for a girl before when my face wasn't visible.

4. I wonder if your doppelganger has a German accent.
One day you might come home and find him in bed with your lover. Then he will have no choice but to garrot you with dental floss, because you have ruined the Organization's plans.

10. I have thought out that scenario in my head...
and I've come up with a way to win.

5. I've been mistaken for me a lot
I just tell them I've got one of those faces and walk away quickly. Works every time.

6. Same here

I live in a small town and apparently I look "just like" this other person.

However, I was once in Wisconsin Dells and I heard a woman trying to talk English with no luck. She was Swedish so I asked her if I could help and translate for her. She said yes and I did. At the end of her business transaction she turned to me and said "You must be Bjorn's daughter....you look just like your grandfather's sister."

Knock me over....she was from the same town as my family in Sweden and as I was helping her she noticed a family resemblance.

Cheers

7. Happens to me too.
Apparently there is a woman who looks just like me here in town. I have had to show my ID to prove I was not this person.

8. I was twice last week, on the same night....
...It was weird. Twice, two women - at different times - came up to me and addressed me as if they new me. They asked how I was doing, and started to talk about people I don't know. It was weird. One of them figured out I was the wrong guy. Not sure if the other one did.
