I just read Kaz Sasaki is not returning to the Mariners next year.....

Too bad, I always was a big fan. I die hard with the M's every year. 2001 playoffs were tough to swallow.

I'm already gearing up for Spring Training down here in Tucson. We get several teams here in town.

I had a sense this was coming last season, when he left rather abruptly to go be with his family. I think his wife may not be well, but I don't know for sure. :shrug:

I have fond memories of seeing him at Shiro's downtown having sushi - he was always so polite to the kids coming up to him. Nice guy.
