I'm going to NYC tomorrow!
:bounce: YAY! I am so excited...I haven't been since end of April/beginning of May.

I am going with the man. We are going early Sat. morning, we're going to see this Spanish play, I'm going to have to wear the ear plugs to translate :), and then we'll go to lunch.

After lunch, we will check into the hotel, unless we have to do that first...I am leaving all that up to the man, he planned this trip! :) Then I hope to nap a bit, shower and then go out to dinner. After dinner we will go to this Latin Club..it's so much fun! :bounce:

We will stay the night and have breakfast in the morning and then head back. I have to work Sunday night.

I can't wait to go!

:bounce:

6. Probably not.
I don't think this is going to be a trip to meet any DUers...it's a trip for the man and I to spend some quality time together. But next time, I will plan a trip on my own where I come down and meet all of the lovely NYC DUers. :) :hi:

4. Lucky You!
I'm going to NYC in late August on business and meeting up with an old college friend who now lives in Philadelphia but is going to make the day trip to see me. He wants me to see the seedier side of NYC this time. Hmmm, I wonder what he has in mind.

Anyway, have a great time!

13. Meh.........
Had this guy back in college and it was a boring waste of time. If I find somebody interesting at a sex club, it definitely will not include my friend. He's the type that just lays back and expects his partner to do all the work. NOT my scene.

But he is a really good guy and a long time friend. Being boring in bed is not a crime, but I'd feel sorry for anyone that ever got involved with him in the long term.

21. I'm not looking for the man of my dreams in NYC
The man of my dreams doesn't yet know of his status. He's a neighbor of mine who keeps insinuating himself into my life whenever he can. He always walks his dog when he knows I'll be outside. He always offers me a ride to work even though I work less than 10 blocks from my office and it's out of his way. His name is Paul. He's really cute............but............I'm still injured from my last LTR. Three years that I wasted on a guy that cheated on me constantly and lied to me. I'm having a real problem trusting men these days.

I haven't been to New York since 2001...August, 2001, to be exact. I had a great time. Man, I'd love to go again soon.

You and your man have a great time, ok? :-)

25. I've been to NYC a few times
I've been there a few times in tourist mode, a few times in drinking mode, and a few times trying to keep up with someone from there.

Each trip was unique. Sounds like you got a good plan that covers all the bases!

:woohoo:

29. I think it is a good plan.
It's a quick trip....we decided to stay the night because the club doesn't close until 5 and it's kind of late to head back to CT.

I wish I didn't have to work on Sunday because it is Pride weekend and the parade is on Sunday but I've been to the parade many times so I won't be missing much.

See it, by all means. I'll be shocked if you don't enjoy it immensely.

Hysterically funny in parts, and a great cast, especially Nathan Lane and Hank Azaria.

19. Lucky.
I've never once been to NYC. It's my number-one dream to go there someday.

What do you mean by "ear plugs to translate" the Spanish play? They make ear plugs that translate foreign languages? (Are they fish-shaped? Bonus points if you get that reference.)

22. The play's in Spanish
and I guess I could use ear plugs that will translate it into English!

You really should try and get to NYC...it's the greatest city ever...I like some of the other boroughs almost as much as Manhattan..sometimes Manhattan is too busy for me. I love the Bronx.

Hot Italian guys with sexy accents. :loveya:

(Kidding. ...Sort of. ) Seriously, I just think it looks cool.

Or possibly the East Village. Doesn't Janeane Garofalo live around there? Not like I'd expect it to happen, but I'd love to meet her someday. (Actually, that's my #2 dream.)
