My USB drive tells me it is write protected |
|
I have tried reformatting it but it won't do it because it says it's write protected. I can't save anything to it, although I can access the files on it. I think it might be toast. All of the various websites I've checked say to reformat it but I can't. I mean it is no tragedy if it is toast because it was cheap to begin with. Still I was hoping to avoid going back to the store for a new one.
It does not have one of those sliders that locks it. I already checked that.

2. Seems counter-intuitive, doesn't it? |
|
That in this day and age you would have to actually move something physically to make a change like that.
