This lady, suburban "West end Wanda" straight out of central casting, decides to by my wife's Mike Krzyzewski book (some rahrah corporate managment stuff... from a basketball coach) -back to our story- as her friend is buying two books ($2) she hastily hands me a bunch of coins (I was trying to avoid pennies) which I just stuck in my pocket. Later I stuck my hand in my pocket to get a pen and felt the coins. I counted it up 97 cents. She freakin' stiffed me for a $1 book!!!! :eyes:::grr::wow:
I also learned to no be so judgemental of people. One family got out of the car and the kid looked like a little bruiser punk and dad looked like he was joe a-hole redneck... my wife and his wife and the two of us spent about 45 minutes just talking and talking. Very nice couple.
When a mini-van pulls up anywhere from 1 to 12 people may come out of it AND they may not all come out at first sometimes they sit and wait for some reason and then they pile out 1, 2, or 5 at a time. It is not odd to see people talking back into a mini-van that you had no idea anyone was sitting in....well at least I THINK there was someone in there. This applies to groups of all races too.
There are a helluva lot more non-English speakers around here than I had thought.
Most people are really nice. Just don't get into it with the emigrants from the former Eastern bloc they can be quite nasty. :scared:
Great mark-up on selling cold drinks $$$$
We made $350 on Saturday. We made $2 on Sunday. The Richmond Times-Dispatch didn't print our ad on Sunday. :grr:
My wife should have listened to me about having a thrift store lined up to come and pick up what we didn't sell
After a weekend of sitting out in the sun and moving items in and out of the house I can still suck down brewskies like back in the day
