Cats with hot (scratchie) spots - anyone else have one?

By hot (scratchie) spots, I mean a spot on the cat where you start to scratch and the cat does something like scratching or grooming.

Caesar has a spot behind his right ear that when scratched just right will start his right foot thumping. I've only seen dogs to that until last week.

Plato has a spot on his rump just above his thigh that if touched at all will trigger an extensive manucure. Even his brother Socrates washing his leg yesterday got the claw cleaning started.

Anyone else have a cat(s) with spots like that?

It's usually the places they can't reach so well. I love it, I think it's cute.

I thought you meant hot spots like the bare patches animals get when they have flea allergic dermatitis. I've hung out in vet's offices too long. :silly:

so he loves him some good scratchies.

Plato's deal is a bit weirder, IMO. He's all ass, but he can still reach everything. Seeing him start to do his nails after his bro started washing him was really cool, though.

And yeah, I knew about flea allergic dermatitis, but I don't know what else to call those scratchie spots. :D
