4. First goes the "street cred. . ."
then the etiquette starts to falter.

What was the interview about. . .?

Can we hear it or read it online. . .?

And what's with 60 views and only 3 votes here. . .?

I asked him to explain the position in more detail then reinforced my skills based on the areas he was specific about

14. Good response. Another good response is " I believe that I am ideally qualified based on my skills
and experience including.....".

Did you reiterate your ability to meet their specific needs in your follow-up letter?

Bad boy. Good boy. You may want to send a hard copy letter that discusses

their specific needs and how you meet them. If you would like some pointers, IM me.

21. When an interviewer uses the overqualified comment it usually means:
They can't or think they can't afford you

You'll continue looking for something better suited to your skills and background after they hire you

There is a fear that you are better qualified than the person to whom you would report

23. well, actually their salary range is right in line with what i'm making now
one of the things i stressed is that I have been looking at this company for months and my exact words were, "I'm seeking a position within your corporation with the goal of having a retirement party thrown on my behalf in 25 years." :D

he liked that

extending an offer.

27. We hired someone today who didn't forget to send a thank-you email
and she'll get the job. We haven't heard back from the other applicant since the interview.

Sending a Thank-you email is an absolute must.

Good luck.
