Mrs. V. worse off than we expected.
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 12:48 PM by bertha katzenengel
She will recover just fine. There were no complications. But her pain... jeez.

I feel it's ridiculous for this surgery (to repair inguinal hernia) to be outpatient. I've had a hysterectomy. The incision for that is wider, yes, and organs were removed, but jesus! The pain meds are barely taking the edge off. I believe she could've used an overnight of morphine & nurse's attention.

:(

I'm taking tomorrow off, a third day.

2. I'm familiar w/ that surgery
yes, it hurts like a son-of-a-gun.

big  for you and a more gentle  for Mrs. V.

It'll be about a week before she can sneeze w/o seeing stars, so go easy on the freshly ground black pepper.

8. Gentle Milk Steps?
Is that similar to Making Biscuits?

:loveya: Thank you, Heidi

10. Yes, it's the same as "making biscuits."
Ginger's been practicing it all month with CMW's 94-year-old grandmother who is here for her summer visit. We're so proud of him for keeping the claws in whenever he "loves" his "Nonna Anna" and for leaving only minimal amounts of fluffy, beige cat hair on her black polyster trousers. :)

Love and light to you, friend. Loveya:

9. Put some Ice on it.
Or warmth, that will also help the surgery.

12. stronger meds -- if only . . .
She is allergic to Oxycontin and has intolerable side effects with Vicodin. She's on the highest dose of Percocet she can tolerate.

Thanks :)
